The 710Wh battery is seamlessly integrated into the frame and provides a huge range of up to 90 miles (145 km), depending on terrain and assist level. It’s removable and lockable, making charging and security simple. The MasterMind display puts all ride metrics at your fingertips and allows real-time tuning, while the Specialized app unlocks additional features including range optimisation, on-ride diagnostics, and Turbo System Lock which disables the motor and activates an alarm if your bike is moved without authorisation.
Comfort is built into every part of the ride, from the 80mm SR Suntour suspension fork to the 40mm travel suspension seatpost and high-volume tyres. You’ll glide over potholes and rough cycle paths without feeling rattled, while the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes offer confident stopping in all conditions.
Practical features come as standard. The rear HD rack supports up to 27kg and is child seat compatible, the DRYTECH mudguards keep road spray at bay, and LED lights front and rear ensure you’re visible at all times. Thoughtfully routed cables and a premium finish give the Vado 4.0 a sleek, modern look to match its high-tech feel.
